couple of moon ones that attach with silicone bands, easy to fit/remove

in london the roads are usually well lit, but in flashing mode they make it a bit more likely i'm noticed by the careless

I got a set of exposure tracers last Christmas. Very nice little lights, well made and very bright.

I don't tend to do much night riding, more early morning/dusk rides so they're ideal in flashing mode. If I wanted a full front beam I've got a Garmin Varia somewhere.

Might put some Christmas lights up this weekend as I'll be pretty immobile after Monday.

Morning Peeps,

Have a couple of visitors from the Kingdom of Far Far Away to deal with today. I aim to bore them to death which should be quite easy given the subject matter and their jet lag. Coffee and scotch egg for now - refuelling after a dry but fresh ride in.

I find you’re in trouble when you assume a car will notice you.

Mrs Seano trying to get the hang of commuting but always seems to arrive home with tales of a near miss. Not entirely sure what she’s doing wrong but her lack of decisiveness and giving cars too much respect would be my guess. Hopefully that will improve with experience.

Morning folks,
Another fun day in the orifice. Covered legs for me too, although not the sexy tights. Avoiding the ops director so I don't get in trouble for calling him out for being a spinelesslittleshit, although if I did and HR got involved I'm confident I'd win. Maybe I should go looking for him.
Quite a pleasant wobble in through the park, bright but rather nippy as SG says. I find flashing lights better in traffic, static through the park. A guy passed me last night with a light as bright as the sun, as he approached I was leaving a very clear shadow on the trees ahead. Once he'd passed I sped up as I could see better, but a few people travelling in the opposite direction did shelter their eyes and shout at him. Don't think he heard because of his headphones. I have my lights on the lower settings so as not to blind people, maybe I should get some headphones
Today being Wednesday i will be going to a pub tonight.

This was somewhat unavoidable I think. Car was at a side road, needed to cross bus/cycle lane and vehicle lane to turn right. A car in vehicle lane stopped to let the car out, and the driver ignored all the cycle lane traffic, as is often the case, and shot out in front of the cyclist. I say "somewhat" unavoidable, because I was 5 metres behind and I had spotted that the car had probably been flashed by the stationary car in the vehicle lane, and so had started to brake a while before, not assuming that we would be seen.

It is all about confidence, experience and positioning, and so is riding a bike in traffic.

Evening
Todays ride with Gerries was over the bridge in to Lincolnshire and avoiding going in to Scunthorpe. Nice cafe with all meals seeming to be a tenner which given the amount of food seemed a bargain. Leek and mushroom pasta bake, tomato, pepper and onion salad and garlic bread.
Made the hills seem quite tough though.
