sunday is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished

'ning

dry at last, but rather nippy

ride, cafes, laze, bubbly
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

Going to wait until the afternoon when the roads have dried a bit before pedalling. Chilled Sunday morning for now as I did most jobs on the list yesterday.

The rain was over here for a bit.

Walk along the coastal path soon, a bit of a repeat as I ran along it a couple of hours ago.

Another meal out later but hopefully not the same bar bill

Mrs off for her biz trip to San Francisco v early tomorrow, so we've been for a walk, picked up some beef and veg from the village, which I'll whip into some sort of shape later.

    Evening folks,
Traditional slow start was enjoyed, this was followed by a trip to the old dear's and a visit to the new house built on their old plot. Rather fancy compared to what was there before, more than 3 times the square footage, all bedrooms had an ensuite and most had a walk in wardrobe. Plus lots of fancy gadgets I had little understanding of. Very nice if you win the lottery and aspire to that sort of thing. This was followed by a meal out for younger sister's upcoming 50th as older sister is over for a few days. This was followed by cake back at the old dear's and managed to get my aunt and uncle to come over as well. Given that she rarely gets out of bed and he hasn't ever been in the house that was quite an achievement, even if it is literally over the road. Unfortunately aunt got rather confused and kept asking who lives in the house.
Now recovering on the couch, might have a beer.

Heh heh. Me and the boy have been bodging a rear wheel motor e-bike conversion on his bike. Got it working today. Well, we've not done the pedal assist yet, but you can flick the thumb throttle and off you go, seems good for 28kph, so quick enough to be a viable mode of transport, but not quick enough to be stupid. Should save him a few quid on lime bikes.

What kit did you use? The EPO could do with an ebike, but I suspect she still wouldn't use it so probably not worth spending too much on anything.
Funny how she complains I have too many bikes, but every one of mine does significantly more miles than her bike.

Funny picture. The road ahead is quite a descent.

Dunno. His grandpa on his dad's side got it for him. It's definitely Chinese, I'll ask him tomorrow, he was watching YouTube how-to videos, so he must know the brand. He just rode the 7 miles from here to Hammersmith in 21 minutes.

I do have an outdoor power point. Maybe make use of that.

Lovely blue sky, but that road looks flat!

The road looks flat, but the scenery in the distance does look lower. Lovely blue sky as B³ says

Looks flat but it certainly isn't.
