Meh. Grey. Chores to do. The DW's are off school so finding things to do and all that. Local leisure centre pool has been shut for months and was due to open this week, Ha ha ha. It's Britain innit. Add 6 months maybe if we're lucky.

Morning. Tad nippy. Car-mute as needed to carry shiz.
Still no bleedin' heating at work. Everyone has fan heaters from home blasting out heat. Doing our bit for local global warming.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

You need a safety net, though 'i's can slip through and 'y's get tangled.

Good sleep after yesterday's pedal which ended up being longer and hiller than planned after going off course.

Spot of frost this morning - winter is here but the cave is warm enough and I have a hot coffee. Got a few meetings to get through but not exerting myself too hard.

Cold, glad I’m off to Corfu on Friday
  • Audit man in today but all is looking peachy so no stress.
Workshop is going at a decent pace, fitters are out on site, stress levels coming down.
Did a bit of packing for a quick weekend to Italy, the downside is that it's forecast rain for the whole time...
In the gym this morning and decided that even though my knee doesn't work properly it's time to put "leg day" back in to the plan.
    Need a brew now.

    Afternoon folks,
Another day of WFH, recovered from the lurgy sufficiently that I could go in, but I have jabs booked for today. Just had the Covid on, off to a different site for my shingles jab in an hour or so. What fun.
Bleedin' cold out, had to dig out the turtles to wobble over for my jab. Need to go in search of winter kit for the mornings.

Cavity wall insulation going into The Project today. One step forward at a time... Still don't understand why the previous nutjob owner did all that good quality internal renovation work but failed to address some basics. I saw his estimated fuel consumption 😳 when I took over the supplier last year, in those crazy fuel price inflation days when one couldn't really switch provider.

    Afternoon
Mondays chores done and bike ridden. Situation with MiL is still on going on after yesterday morning improvements she took a turn for the worse. So ambulance called and assessment carried out, everything appeared fine but could have had TIA. They arranged for someone from the Frailty clinic to visit today. By yesterday evening she was fine, but by the time Mrs W got work this morning she had deteriorated again.
McMillan nurse asked us to call out the GP. So now waiting for Mrs W to ring with an up date.

Busy day. Cavity wall insulation now in place. And just now received notification that my application for renewables funding support (grant plus 0% interest loan) has been approved. PVs battery and ASHP here we come. 👍 See you Poostain and your gas price hike endeavours, bleep off.

The day started off miserable and Baltic.
Then the sun popped out at 4ish so went for a pedal. It's been a long time since I went for a let afternoon/early evening ride.
