Tyre replacement width change

Hi everyone, I've recently bought a secondhand Scott speedster S3. The tyres are in urgent need of replacement. The wheelset is alexrims r500 and a 23mm width tyre. Is it possible to increase the tyre width to 25mm?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If there is 3mm+ clearance to your frame and any components then yes.
(Disclaimer: Some tyres fit higher than others but if the same model then, yes.)
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

That's great thanks. I will be changing my existing tyres, maxxis fuse, to possibly goodyear eagle sport. Is the tyre height increase the same as the tyre width?

There shouldn't be too much difference but some tyres fit with a higher height than others. We are only talking about 1mm or so though. Not many bikes won't take 25mm.
