Hi everyone, I've recently bought a secondhand Scott speedster S3. The tyres are in urgent need of replacement. The wheelset is alexrims r500 and a 23mm width tyre. Is it possible to increase the tyre width to 25mm?
Thanks in advance for your help.

If there is 3mm+ clearance to your frame and any components then yes.
(Disclaimer: Some tyres fit higher than others but if the same model then, yes.)The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.1 -
That's great thanks. I will be changing my existing tyres, maxxis fuse, to possibly goodyear eagle sport. Is the tyre height increase the same as the tyre width?pblakeney said:

There shouldn't be too much difference but some tyres fit with a higher height than others. We are only talking about 1mm or so though. Not many bikes won't take 25mm.mountainmonkey74 said:That's great thanks. I will be changing my existing tyres, maxxis fuse, to possibly goodyear eagle sport.
