Think Bagioli got second, toss up between Simon Yates, Roglic and Vlasov for third.

Dan Lloyd just said Pog has won 5 of his last 9 monuments!

Roglic third, less PTP carnage than anticipated.

Hey BR crew, was out most of the day, going to try and catch up today.

Can anyone give me an indication from how far out to watch it please?

Probably have a couple of hours, though could stretch further if it's a real humdinger.

    Thanks!

Last 30-40 kms should suffice, unless you watch for the scenery. 😉
    Can't remember the precise point.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Thanks, I'll go for my usual 45 in that case :-)

Whoever was DSing in the car, the whole team - and obviously Pogacar - deserve all the plaudits for that display…
And Adam Yates pretty much pinning everyone to the road on those last climbs before Pog slipped away was an end of season treat…

Has Roglic (or the other chasers) said anything about how he let Pog go? Just too cooked after coming back up?

Pog is so good over 250km

    Yesterday's race was 238 kms.

Good to see a race won on the descent - not unlike when he won Strade, where he attacked on a downhill section of gravel.

    What an enjoyable last 45k.

    LOVED Hatch's line.

  • Disappointed they didn't go with: in future, the winner may be the goat, but Pinot will herd the goat.
    Probably more Carlton's territory.

It was amazing that he seemed to suffer from cramp and yet still pulled out time on the chasers. Was that all for the cameras?

No, for one thing cramps aren't always the same. I've cramped in races and been able to ride out the cramp and even put out very good power on the climb immediately after. Another time I needed to get off the bike and pause for a very long time and just barely limped to the finish line.

Adam Yates also attacked on the flat immediately after the cramp pictures (or it looked that way at least) and that caused everyone to speed up and then immediately shift to group 2 syndrome after which resulted in a net time loss.
