Rounded bolt head

Help! So, was trying to remove a set of SKS raceblades and have managed to round not one but two bolt heads.

They're flush so i can't grip them and the bolts are threaded onto flush nuts that I also can't turn.

I've tried a Torx head and also an allen key wrapped in a rubber band. Any other suggestions?

Hacksaw a slot and use a regular screwdriver.

I am not sure. You have no chance.

It's flush to the surface and I want to reuse the mudguard.

If the bolts are flush it is unlikely that he will be able to cut a slot with a hacksaw.

I have managed to get rounded crank bolts out by using a slightly over sized bit and giving them a couple of solid sharp hits with a large hammer to seat them. It is a case of trying a combination of bits, either allen, torx or actual extractor bits.

"Easy out" bolt extractor or drill the bolt out completely. Might need to replace the nut if the second option but shouldn't be too difficult to source a replacement.
  • Buy some JB Weld Original Cold-Weld epoxy to glue an old allen key into the hole. It's only a fiver and bit from Amazon and you'll have loads left for other bike / household emergency jobs.

    Fair.
Still a good tip for when not flush.
