Stuck pedals

I was getting my bike ready for a trip to Mallorca when I found that it was impossible to remove the pedals. Luckily my bike box is big enough to carry the crank separated from the bike so trip is still on.

I still want to remove the pedals at some time so wondered what to do.

I have SRAM Force cranks that have carbon arms and an metal insert with the pedal thread - I assume the insert is aluminium.
I fitted PD-ES600 SPD Pedals which I think are steel.

Any ideas.

The best way to remove pedals is to put the crank arm horizontal pointing towards the front of the bike, put your foot on the pedal and pull up on the pedal wrench/hex key. You can use a lot more force by acting against the power of your leg.

Pretty sure Force aren't pure carbon. I think they're carbon wrapped alu, so your pedal thread is part of the main crank body, not an insert.

I have the pedal removal instructions written on the wall next to the bike but this is the first set that only have a hex slot at the back and I got direction reversed !!!!!
They can stay as they are for my trip.

Self awareness is a good thing, I'm sure most of us have done more than one idiotic thing.

Look on the bright side, you know your pedals are on tight now. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.
