Elite Zumo Belt tension

Hi,
Does anybody have one of these, i recently had the belt veer off and had to undo tensioner to put belt back in place, i have tightened it back up now, but it seemed harder to pedal then previously, about 20 watts out still after calibration ( it gave a reading of around 19600 millisecs)
so i adjusted it back off a bit and seems back to normal now (after calibration it now hits 22000)
just wondering what king of numbers anyone else has, as i know the Zumo doesn't ship with a offset number to try and hit like the Elite Directo

  • I have a second hand Zumo and had similar issue with the belt. I replaced it but as you say there seems to be no offset to aim at.

Previous to this I had a problem with readings compared to other meters. I raised a ticket with Elite and they gave me various json codes to put into it, until the readings were more in line with the other meter.

Even though I was not the original owner and the machine was out of warranty, they were very helpful. However since replacing the belt I haven't bothered and just used it in power meter link mode.
  • Cheers for the info,
what kind of spin down value do you get when calibrating now,
i think i had the belt tension too tight to begin with after i sat it back on,
now it seems to be on par i would say, but i would love to test against a pair of pedal meters,
i believe that screw when set in the factory must be calibrated against an external device.
the only info i found on elite site about replacing belt was to make a note in mm of the gap the screw protrudes, before removing belt, then set it back to that after,
I might raise a ticket then and see, but for now it seems on par, ..i guess lol
