Di2 battery compatibility

I’ve got a 9100 11 speed di2 groupset and pondering building up an Ultegra 12 speed 8150 di2 groupset. Will the battery from the older 9100 groupset be ok to use with the new12 speed Ultegra di2?

No ,the cable connection is smaller SD 300 for the 12 speed
Older battery is SD50 cables .There is a straight through converter available to go from old to new but I'm unsure if its compatible with the 12 speed
For the extra bits needed to make it work it's not really cost effective
As you would need 2 extra old cables 2 converters

No, the older battery will not work .
(and even if it did, it wouldn't be cost-effective, as Trevor pointed out)
