Morning all. Chill time on holibobs with young oxo all grown up as he hits 18 today. Hot tub came in handy last night as family chitchat and beer flowed. Off to watersports centre for wake boarding later and other shenanigans. Trust Mr T,s not been delayed to much. Enjoy work folks.

    Happy birthday young oxo ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅณ

Lazy day planned, bar a gym sesh this morning, ahead of friends arriving later tonight and tomorrow for a few days exploring and enjoying, plus #1 daughter and partner arriving Friday. Suppose I'd better tart the place up a bit beforehand, shovel out the old beer cans and pizza boxes...?

Roofer boss man still to come round to do the final check over, poss this afternoon. Have found one bit I need to check with him but nowt serious.

    Morning folks,
Slightly slower start than usual before heading North. I know it's only the midlands but it's north to me.
    Happy birthday young Oxo.

Why if thereโ€™s a headwind, itโ€™s always on the way home? ๐Ÿ˜•

Prevailing wind for me on the commute. My route is pretty much directly NE. The wind is pretty much always from the SW.

That doesn't explain the permanent headwind on leisure rides though.

    Afternoon
Busy sorting the car out and packing for tomorrowโ€™s journey north. Could I check the tyres, oil and fill it up with fuel. All a bit alien to me as I tend just keeping chucking things in the car till I think Iโ€™ve got everything then set off.
Iโ€™ve never understood the need to tidy the house before you go on a trip. Is it case you get burgled and you donโ€™t want the burglar to think you are an untidy sod.
Hopefully I might get a bit of exercise in later.

    Many happy returns Oxo mini-cube.

Busy morning deal with idiots overseas. Nipped down to the garden centre to grab a couple of things and stopped off for lunch surrounded by geriatrics in their cafe.

Aye well, at least you didn't have the almost hailstones 10 minute deluge here early this pm. And now is all blue and sunny again. Forecasting rest of the week similar expected. Ho hum.

Gym sesh was heavy going. Felt 'kin 'ked afterwards. I need to get my exercise routines back in proper shape. Unlike me just now.

Roofer boss man round to check it out, good guy, they seem to be getting quite a lot of work in town (over local firms like wot wouldn't bother giving me an estimate or, as per the one who did, come in with some 'kin big ยฃ numbers).

TdF catch up, early night, hope for a Big Sleep, reset and go.

    .

Yes, the whole kit and caboodle. Long day but very good. Not only did he get a first with honours in his masters he also got an additional award for the best dissertation. Post ceremony went to the pub, then for a posh ruby at Dishoom. Very tasty.

Wow, that's some achievement. I knew you said you were proud, but now I know why. Well done indeed.

I love the grub at dishoom.
