Good night in town with live music on at many venues.

Today I really should pack and do a few jobs before the pub

    Morning carpet sellers

...and a stunning morning it is.

Today will mainly: keeping the DW's occupied, TdF, odd jobs, cook...

Mrs B³ off to the tennis, so I imagine I'll be dozing in front of the tdf. I woke up with a start yesterday afternoon to the commentary team bemoaning the crash.

Dog walk and visit the butcher first though.

Guildford leisure pool yesterday, disappointing lack of hot mums to flaunt my beach bod and cinema today as forecast is a bit meh. Don’t have high hopes for Indiana Jones but need to pay my respects as loved the films as a child.

Good day out down in Brighton yesterday despite having to drive; free steak featured. Decent lie in had, now looking at a slightly murky and damp morning but should be OK for a ride later on. Got a few bits n pieces to do in the meantime including getting a hair cut.

Think I'll have a coffee now.

Knew they’d reached the final but totally forgot about it. That’s great!

Joined in for part (they're doing 60 miles total, too much para mi just now) of local group ride. Excuse I gave for bailing early is there's a soap box derby down on main street this afternoon, want to watch that, should be fun. Really busy already as I passed on way home.

What I'm learning: normal solo I seem to be riding near threshold a lot of the time compared with gentler paced group. I need to school myself.

Another weekend gone, not that it makes any difference what day it is any more. Cool and windy start, made for a chilly walk.

Appear to have fixed the squeaky cleats and pedals on the trainer at least, been annoying for a while now.

Deferred car washing duty for another day, with less wind and fewer showers forecast.

    Afternoon folks,
Traditional slow start was enjoyed, unsurprisingly followed by mild pottering. Had to fix a window and sort out the last of the holiday stuff. Need to pop over to the old dear's to check everything is alright before she returns on Tuesday. I'll be at the lad's graduation that day so unable to help if needed.

    Afternoon
Slow start after 2 days of over indulging. Managed to climb and test new wheels and old cassette which doesn’t seem to be jumping. Hot with lots of bugs round here so it’s quite unpleasant sitting out side. Just as well there’s the tour to watch.

Ride rided, very nice it was too. Time to chill.

Afternoon all. Yet another Sunday of non rides. Bah. Good excuse though as just back from a family wedding last night in Kent. 160 miles each way was a bit meh mostly due to M25ness. Fab times.

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

Post tour, next doors came round issue’s about hedge trimming. Next door but three upset, not sure if it’s some sort of mental health issue or madness. So we drank wine and became fairly chilled to the extent Mrs W is snoring away.
