Off down to Brighton for the day as one of Mrs. 666's mates has arranged a birthday lunch. Guess who's driving so no grog until we get home, but at least her mate is picking up the tab so not all bad. Drop hounds off first then make our way.

    Moaning,

Bright and sunny, expecting thunder and wetness later

Bit of shopping to be done but mainly a restful day, hopefully get some basking done before the forecasted deluge. Beer/Cider, TdF and a curry later.

Went on an epic (for me) off-road ride yesterday, started off at 09:30 got home at 21:50 beautiful day for it. Glad I chose to take the pruners with me, very much needed.

    Nice work Charlie

Slow start after a late one at the wake yesterday.

Few jobs then into town to meet some friends for dinner

pleasant 22 to start, already 25 by about half seven, humid though

cafe a bit tardy, did a couple of extra hill repeats until it opened

extraordinarily fluffy cat of highgate was demonstrating advance across open terrain using available cover, possibly for a squirrel-based brekkie

    cafe stroll time

    Afternoon
Out early for a ride to avoid the now present thunderstorms. Hot and humid and lots of thunderbugs but stayed dry. Later is out to Mrs W bosses birthday do, I suspect it will be a free bar as well food. It’s a hard life but someone has got to do it.

    Afternoon folks,
Slowish start was followed by some pottering and post holiday sorting.
Popped into a local hostelry on the way back from the orifice for a quiet drink with wife and daughter, ended up with 9 people sat round a couple of tables as we met various friends. That was fun.
Still got more to do, but lounging with a cup of cha seems to have taken priority.
Good ride yesterday Mr Croker, sounds like fun. Where did you go?

Did miles in the wind and got mangled right proper.

Vino and eats soon. Recover. Watch last 5km's of TdF. Sleep.
