Looking to offload an old cassette but not really sure what it's worth (beyond what someone is prepared to pay for it obv.) Can't see any on Ebay to understand what it might fetch - any ideas?
It's an 8 speed Campagnolo compatible Marchisio titanium cassette weighing in at about 120 grams.
TIA

Tuppence-Ha'penny or whatever the highest bidder pays for it on an auction site.
Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

In seriousness, someone doing a vintage build will want it, but you won't know how much until you try to sell it.0

He is trying to sell it and it’s clearly worth at least a fiver.0

As FA says it could be worth quite a bit if you find two interested buyers that 'need' it for their vintage build. Unfortunately that's a limited market so you'd have to be lucky, or you'll get Gethinceri's fiver.
Unfortunately my vintage Campagnolo set up has a screw on block so no good to me, even at a fiver.
They do look nice and with individually replaceable sprockets were probably quite cost effective when you could still get them.

If it's sitting in your box of bits and you are probably never going to use it again, then it is worth nothing or it has little value. It might sit there until the day you are carted off to the old people's home and your kids chuck out boxes of your stuff "that might come in handy one day".
Just whack it on an auction site or on FB Marketplace with a figure you are happy with. It's amazing what some people (my wife for example ) will buy. You'll then have some money that you can buy more sh!t with. The money you get for it may be more or less than the item is worth, but it will be more than the current value in you box of bits.
I make the same mistake with cameras and lenses. I can't bear to part with them and keep them until they are so obsolete they are basically worthless. I should just be ruthless and sell/trade them in at the time. I'd have more money and less stuff.Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

No, you'd spend the money and just have different stuff.

It's a difficult one because high end vintage stuff can be listed at silly prices - Google brings up nos Record cassettes at £375! I'm guessing they don't sell like hot cakes.
On the other hand there are 8 speed cassettes to be had quite cheaply - I bought a decent quality used close ratio 8 speed cassette for about £15-20 last year.
I think the options are auction site or ask on a specialist vintage/campag forum.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0 -
Thanks DV. I asked as I can't see that one has ever been sold on the 'bay. I also asked on a campag forum but never got a response (of it even got posted). Any ideas on which one might be appropriate?0
