Dismantling a SRAM Red Etap FD

My Etap groupset has done about 26k miles and the FD isn't working as well as it did originally.

SRAM Red Etap FD overshifts initially to ensure the chain moves correctly then it does a small shift back.
I think its the shift back that is not moving as far as it should so causing some chain rub when near the extreme gears.
I wonder if it is cruded up and a clean may help.

Has anyone has successfully dismantled and reassembled a SRAM Red Etap FD?

There are 3 circlips on the shafts that the FD rotates on.

I removed one of the circlips but did not remove the shaft as there is a substantial spring in there and I was unsure about how difficult reassemble would be.

"Reassembly is the reverse of removal."

Yeah, right! If you have the factory machine that built it or you manage to pick the right swear word in the right language - then you might persuade it back together.

    That's my worry.

Just wondered if anyone had tried it
