Buying Cycling Clothing

How can you realistically buy cycling clothing online if the returns policy states that items must be unworn and in original packaging?

You can try the garments on, just can't use them, and need to return them in the bag they came in.

You can try them to, and return them in original packaging "as if" nobody has ever wore them. Done many times, never had an issue.

How do you try on items like bib shorts which are meant to be worn next to the skin?

With undies, just like you would with any shorts or swimsuits where the same rules apply.

Who’s gonna tell the shop you didn’t wear pants?

Have a shower before you try something on and it will be fine. I've done it plenty of times.

Rilkal47 - Thank you good suggestion.
  • All companies can claim this as a loss. It’s very easy to tell with bibs if they have been ridden in. Just check fit after shower with clean undies as above. Also double check size guides.

The biggest issues are tags removed, don't do that; and pubic hair, and something brown in the bottom; wear something to prevent that stuff.
