Hi all, I'm a bit of a keen amateur bike maintainer and was keen to explore truing stands for wheels.
I saw one on eBay (yeah yeah I know before you all groan... :-) ) for mid £80 from WEST BIKING - Foldable Wheel Truing Stand. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394217071929
I appreciate you only get what you pay for but cant justify a Park tool version and Im not sure if the SH market could be problematic if they are damaged with use etc.
Ive set myself a £100 budget and my question is can i get one for that, is it worth it) and can anyone recommend a brand / model and is this West biking one any good? i mostly work on BMX and MTB and probably wont build wheels just spoke replacement and truing etc.
Any guidance is appreciated
Cheers
Martin

I have one of these: https://www.wiggle.co.uk/lifeline-pro-mechanic-wheel-truing-stand
It works fine, seems to be decent quality. It doesn't have the dial indicator but I'd consider that to be pointless anyway for an amateur mechanic. The one you've linked to might be ok but I'd always prefer to buy from a known source.0 -
Hi and thanks for the guidance, got the same from Wiggle and arrived on Friday, worked a treat, (think it worked better cos I got 15% off too) many thanks again.
