Hot on the heels of E3 comes Gent-Wevelgem (in Flanders fields).
Will we get wind affecting the result or will the sprinters contest the finish? Here are the previous winners to provide a hint:
2022 GIRMAY Biniam
2021 VAN AERT Wout
2020 PEDERSEN Mads
2019 KRISTOFF Alexander
2018 SAGAN Peter
2017 VAN AVERMAET Greg
2016 SAGAN Peter
2015 PAOLINI Luca
2014 DEGENKOLB John
2013 SAGAN Peter
Sagan holds the record for most wins with 3 editions alongside Merckx, Van Looy, Cipollini, Van Eenaeme and Boonen.
The route:

I’d recommend the above page which contains a map of this years 260km route, the overall race profile and the profiles of the key bergs the race will tackle.
The provisional startlist can be be found here:

Somewhat different to E3 with most teams bringing their sprinters
Usual PTP rules apply so make your picks in good time. I’ll hopefully get the scoring done for this race and E3 on Sunday evening.

To answer my earlier question - we did get rain and a Jumbo 1-2.
10 points dropped for WVA pickers, could that be important come the end of the season?
Chapeau to the 3 players who picked the winner today. Full scores can be seen here:
