    Morning iconoclasts

Went to drop car off for service and... they weren't open until 8.30am. Groan. Come home, drink coffee quick, help Mrs P pack Tricky off to a 2 day school trip, do hair, push them along, get them to do teeth, drop car off, come back. drink coffee number 2 a little slower, post bollox on cycling forum, relax...

Monday morning fuzz is in attendance due to a mothers day meal so mooching about the desk is probably in order.

Swim session booked at lunch but I doubt it will be up to the usual mediocre standards

    Today's whinge:

January 27th: Contest deposit post stink shed resident departure.
[Read notes which state that if it is not contested, you get a refund in 30 days].
    Wait 30 days.
Contact Letting protection (obligatory 3rd party arrangement) on the 1st March only to be told that is 30 working days... Uh?! I mean wtaf? Legally if a contractor does a job for me or most bills, I have 28 days to pay. 28 days, 4 weeks not 28 working days.

I try and make the calculation... 15th March.

Receive nothing until last Friday 17th March where I get an email saying the repayment has been approved and you will get the repayment in 3 to 5... wait for it 'working days'.
Which theoretically takes me to Friday the 24th of March which is 2 months since I made the claim and they moved out on the 15th of January.

I'll offer a whinge too, I got my confirmation of an "urgent" MRI scan through over the weekend, in one months time!

    Morning wage slaves and slackers.

Stuck on an all day virtual conference, yawn. Need to stay awake until after I've done a short presentation which will send everyone to sleep as its about international tax...

    You're lucky. That's quick.
Neighbour, (aged 94 this year) is being looked after by daughter (aged 67) who's hip is really bad and has not had a referral yet after seeing the doctor in July last year.

If that's NHS it's quick. If that's private it's rubbish.

One last short ride. A few lumps and bumps, then a steady climb to 700m, then a swoopy descent. Basking now. Not looking forward to UK weather, roads or drivers.

    I'm thinking about it.

I have to weigh up the pro's and con's. Perhaps @seanoconn could advise.

    Afternoon folks,
Busy day in the orifice, moist and grey out there this morning, haven't looked out since but I suspect it's more of the same. Not much else to report, same old, same old...

It is possible to be both, unfortunately I'm too much of the former and not enough of the latter. Talking of which, onwards and upwards...

Afternoon or should the be Evening.
A bit of dark and dank day. Weary after yesterdays effort, but I managed a few chores and did a session on the board. Dogs have been walked and now waiting for the missus to get in from work.

Is that a subtle hint to erect a big tent and invite a lot of people for food and drink?
