Morning Slackers it's my Friday. Soggy ride in so the weatherman lied again. Git, sack him. Usual shizzle so hopefully an easy one ducking and diving till time to ride home to several waiting cold beers 🍻. Have a nice day folks.
Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

Not riding today though as WAFH and no bike, last day... looking forward already to home and reasonably priced beer ;)

Had a bit of a ride yesterday so resting the legs on the train. Pleases me that it's light when I leave the house now, just need the mercury to be above zero in the morning and spring is here.

That was hard work into a stiff breeze, though I'm cruising in 1 cog higher than I've been for a while into the wind, so some fitness must be returning. Hills at the weekend.

Wfw, early dart, pack up bike, drive.

Today is to be fettling about this morning, then take a bus over to Doonhamer-toon, collect some pocket sized bits 'n' bobs, see if I can fit in a trim at the Turkish barbers (been ages since a proper job), then attend another in the never-ending series of eye fettles. Not driving back this time...

    Morning
Feel well weary this morning which could be the result of the pub last night or yesterdays turbo session which was one my pre op interval sessions. Today’s decision is do I have a climb on the board while the wife’s at work so I don’t get boll*cked for doing stuff she thinks I shouldn’t be doing yet.
    Decisions, decisions.

Couldn't post this morning due to MS update.
    ...and boy, it was slow.

Bright and sunny but must do ride on mower repairs/service. Meh.
Good luck with the eye 'Loon.

Hello. Been busy. Youngest son got offered a grammar school place for September yesterday but not the one I work at so we’ll do an appeal (because mine is better!). Not been doing much exercise, ran on Sunday, blooming awful pain in my leg yesterday that’s better today. Got an 11-34 cassette on the way to help me cycle up hills when I finally get back out. Still chasing students for coursework.

I’ll disappear again now. You ain’t seen me, right?

    Funnily enough…

It’s certainly a bit of an eye opening conversation between him and Gav isn’t it? Not really surprising that that’s what they think, just that they shared it in a form that could catch them out!

All good, busy busy clinic. Different approach here as they do all the tests and scans each time, review and then put me in the injection queue. Seen by Dr van Tricht again. But who is the tall blonde one with the big... heels? 😉

Good haircut obtained at Lula Turkish barber though I passed on the waxed cotton buds sticks up the nose. Guy interested when I told him that no Turkish barbers here in town now, think they closed in that lockdown and never reopened. Said if rent low enough he could open here for a couple days per week, which would be good.

    Evening folks,
Another busy day in the orifice, spent most of it trying to dissuade the beautiful assistant from murderising someone. Female child didn't go back yesterday as she was knackered and wanted a lazy day. Tried to go back today, but only got as far as Clapham to find no trains beyond Gatwick as some poor soul came second against a train. Hopefully more successful tomorrow.
Driving back through some contra-flow roadworks came out the other side to find some twunt in a Porsche SUV passing the line of traffic on my side with his hazards on. Well he certainly was a hazard. I put my main beams on and carried on, so did he. Most odd, the entitledprick then starts waving his arms at me. I made it plain that he should back up or get out the way. He got out the way.

I think you are referring to Dr Bothyra. Are you going to ask her on a date?

Nice quick-as-it-gets drive down. Fire, electric blanket, grub, wine. Off to the sawmill tomorrow.

Yep. It's bloody arctic in the bedroom until you get the place warmed up.

It's a very cost effective way for old people to keep warm. So I'm told :)
