Will these tyres fit?

Looking at swapping out my 700x38 tyres to 700x28. The wheels I have Are dt swiss 622x22. Would the 28c tyres fit on this rim? I’ll be running tubes also if that makes any difference. I have looked on the web but I can’t find a definite answer. It’s all confusing to me but probably quite simple to any sane person out there. Cheers

Yes it will work. 622mm is the diameter of the bead seat of the rim (which corresponds to a 700mm tyre diameter. 22mm is the inner width of the rim. Your 700x28mm will fit albeit at the narrower end of recomended tyre widths for your rim size.

As said above - yes they will fit.
I use 700x28 tyres on DT Swiss 622x20 wheels, 2mm extra width will be fine.
