grazie. they make mega noizez and as they are Prime Black Edition they didn't cost much.

Yup - tbh nothing else really gets used now.

What’s the score with the noise then, are they f***ed?

The Boardman has carbon rims and Di2 so I don’t really want to take it out at 6 in the morning on my commute into work in the pi$$ing rain etc.

I’ve got 50’s and they don’t make a noise. Maybe I’m not going fast enough. 🤣🤣

I just don’t want it to get damaged from all the salt and shite on the road, parking it in London cycle bays is going to get it nicked, other cyclists push locked up bikes to squeeze theirs in next to it. I’ve got a vibe that all the muck sloshing about on the road will erode the moving parts quicker.
  • Also cyclists round my way get mugged for decent bikes.

I normally carry a lead dresser (Google it) in my backpack but the problem is getting it out quick enough to smash someone in the face.

So, does a MF ride in winter or not ?

i used to use the old mantra of "one winter mile is two summer miles" until I realised I could do exactly that in my house without trashing all my stuff, getting cold nd wet and not being able to watch tv

Maybe in truth your winter riding consists of riding up and down your hallway.
Extra benefit is you can impress yourself with the super-wooshy carbon rim noises.
  • ^^^^^ I’m doing 36 kms a day for my commute. 6 days a week.

that'll take ages to get out of your bag, no?

    stop

    untangle bag off back

    open bag

rummage through past dirty pants and old sandwiches

    pull out dresser

    work out whats going

    smack fella in face

surely thats screaming out for a handlebar bag like some trendy gravell-er?
