Longish walk, work snizzle and early dart to take youngest to a specialised - hopefully just a precaution

I see Seano and Thistle lurking, the skulking loafers.

    Morning

Windy. Farq me this is relentless but not as relentless as the plucky Ukrainians.

I was going to ask but thought I’d leave it to one of the more nosey BBers.

Urgh, feeling a bit off colour but luckily it doesn't seem to be Covid or 'flu. Might explain the broken sleep the last few nights and feeling a bit hot n cold but nothing too serious. Avoiding London on account of tube strike chaos so another day in the cave it is.

Looong sleep, fell asleep last evening warmed by the woodburner, in bed by 11, awake at 0920... this sitting on one's arris all day driving shizzle must take it out of one.

Stuff and Admin Stuff to sort out, inc finally after 6 months of zero action getting some 'usage' (ignoring actual numbers) statements from pathetic admin SO Energy. Just as well I have both the spreadsheet records plus photos of meters. Jeez.

And it is grey and windy again. Why are domestic wind turbines just so expensive...?

Morning. Dry and warm. WFW. Slow commute in. Legs not feeling the lurve.

On a plus note managed to extract a splinter of brass that was stuck in my thumb since Monday. Ah, bliss!

    Sometimes. Maybe. Possibly.

    Is the specialist attractive?
    Could be even more awkward.

Better be - what’s the point in going private otherwise?

the guy I bought the house off was a consultant at the local hospital and back in the late 70’s they used to do ‘foreigners’ for the local farmers for cash 😂

Afternoon, frantic work today. OH is with the boys in hospital so I'm also doubling as someone useful and trying to do all the washing etc. I have a work shoot (simulated game, fancy name for millions of clays) tomorrow in gale force winds, I'll 100% embarrass myself in front of all my toff colleagues and our guests, on the plus side I have a load of gin to make the day go smoothly. Non-toff colleague staying tonight so steak has been purchased

    Evening folks,
Busy day in the orifice without the pleasure of a wobble to and fro due to driving the EPO in. Driving again tomorrow as going to the NEC with a few colleagues for the classic car show. Lots of people to see, probably won't have time to see half of them as is usual.
Hope everything was alright with youngest TLW.
Dishwasher repair seems to be holding up, that's a relief, now I can get back to fixing my coffee machine.

Got my bike back from the repair shop and will ride in tomorrow to sweat out this bloody lurgy. No grog and an early night - what a good boy I am.

Wfh all day, then popped down to cider country with another full car and the dog. I'll be here until Sunday. Brother coming down on Saturday with my nephew.

Warming myself in front of some burning logs with a glass of red. I can hear the wind howling outside.

WfCC tomorrow. Take dog for a couple of walks, maybe to the beach in the morning and over towards the moor at lunchtime. Forecast says 16° and sunny.

A mate of mine who you met at Bike Park Wales a few years back has got himself a Mk 1 and has been doing it up. Went for a pootle down to the South Coast in it back in September.

Very cool and got quite a few stares and people pointing. The gearbox was shyte though - took a couple of seconds to get it into first when the lights changed.
