Lyme Disease Action has charity places available for this event if you didn't get a place in the ballot but would still like to take part.

LDA is run entirely by volunteers, so your fundraising would be very welcome to help this charity continue with raising awareness - by distributing leaflets for example - and also helping to fund valuable research into this disease.
Lyme disease is caught from the bite of an infected tick. If not recognised and treated early it can lead to debilitating symptoms. See more details about what to do if you find a tick:

The first case of definite UK tick-borne encephalitis, as reported this month, was mountain biking in Yorkshire. TBE is v low risk; Lyme disease is higher. We work closely with health professionals and scientists as by helping them we can help patients. We are the only Lyme disease charity recommended by the UK HSA. Help us to get our evidence based information on tick-borne diseases out there!

LDA still has a place up for grabs if you can raise something for the charity it would be very much appreciated.
Deadline today (27th April) at 16:00 for completion of the registration but I need to send you an invite before that deadline in order to complete the application and there have been difficulties this year with email addresses not receiving the invite so please don't leave it to the last hour to apply for a place.
