Flaking Rear Dropout
HI, please could someone help me out
My otherwise carbon Cannondale Super Six has an alloy rear dropout to mount the disc brake calliper
Around the dropout the paint has flaked off but around the calliper mount it is bubbling. Possible corrosion

Can I sort this out DIY?
Does clearing off the corrosion simply require wire wool and elbow grease?
Is is possible to treat the exposed alloy to stop future corrosion? If so what works best?
Is repainting simply a case of getting a matching spray paint from a car dealer? Or would a primer and/or finish lacquer be a good idea?
All help much appreciated
Cheers Harry

Remove components then strip back to sound paint / remove all the corrosion. Degrease it thoroughly then give it a coat of etching primer. When that's dry, a couple of coats of gloss then a clearcoat.3
