as it offends some that the original brexit thread continues, here's a new one to discuss the proven disaster that is brexit :smiley:

  • Those who believed it could be a success, were into a low tax low service type of economy, American style... then the pandemic came and we suddenly realised how much we need the NHS and how much it costs to run it...
    Suddenly the all low tax argument makes no sense at all... hence the all Brexit argument makes no sense at all

    I am convinced that flimsy argument was just a figleaf to helpjustify an idea that for the leadership was entirely about sovreignty
