Hi, I currently have a hybrid with suspension forks which I want to get rid of, my tyres say 28 X 1.50 700 X 38c, the ebay seller said I need 29inch forks but I thought it would be 27.5. Any advice please?

700c road wheels are exactly the same size (diameter) as 29'er wheels. If you are keeping the wheels and tyres you have, it's possible (not guaranteed) that a 27.5" MTB suspension fork will have enough clearance for your tyres as those are skinny by MTB standards.
If you are replacing with a rigid fork, definitely get a 29'er. Even if you are going for a decent suspension fork replacement I'd still recommend a 29'er.

I see thanks its a suspension one, looking to go rigid, do you think these ones would be ok? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/144015584636?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11051.m43.l1123&mkcid=26&ch=osgood&euid=1d3452dfdab4446f84214a35f6e279aa&bu=43122909848&osub=-1~1&crd=20221018064939&segname=11051Wheelspinner said:700c road wheels are exactly the same size (diameter) as 29'er wheels. Yeah provided the steerer tube matches (and I’d expect it will) should be fine. Another reason to stick with the 29’er size is that it is a little longer overall because of the axle to crown race length according to the pics in that ad: 440 mm versus 415 for the 27.5 I think. That’ll keep your bikes steering and handling more normal.
That fork, like all of them, doesn’t come with a headset crown race so you’ll need to swap that over from your exiisting fork, or replace with new.Open One+ BMC TE29 Seven 622SL On One Scandal Cervelo RS0 -
I've recently bought one of those forks for a similar project, though I haven't fitted it yet. On visual inspection it looks to be decent enough quality.0
