A route to tempt Remco, Roglic and Thomas.
Lots of TT kms, even if part are stage 20.
  • Stage 13 starts 3 miles from my hometown... annoyingly I can't go down to Italy in May, as it's term time at Uni... so so annoying

I know the press have latched on to the time trial kilometres as the bait to hook Evenepoel, but those mountain stages are seriously hard and that final TT is just mental. If he starts, he'll be the favourite, but he'll need some serious support in the mountains and I'm not convinced his team can provide it.

Having been there I feel sorry for anyone racing stage 19.
Add on saving something in the bank for the MTT and....
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

We will be having a good look at the route over the next week, as we want to go to northern Italy next year, and it makes sense to align this with a few Giro stages.
If we go ahead with this we will be looking for location and food recommendations :)

Ferry booked. Campervan ready. We are aiming to get to see something of stages 12 to 15.

  • Evenepoel is IN!
  • I am working towards being able to go to Italy for the last week of the Giro... it would be the first time I get to see some action since 2007!
