Yesterday's windy wind appears to have exhausted itself, calm and misty this morning.

Soon to depart for another jab in the bad eye session, having transferred my season ticket northwards. To be followed by mandatory do v little.

  • Short run last night, 5km with the club.
Swim this morning, more of a guesstimate as I forgot my watch.
Chilly start to the day, more logs are required me thinks...

Mist has lifted and it's a beautiful day.

I shall wait for what looks like a touch of frost to melt and then go test my new second hand carbon bars.
...and that will be the last ride on the summer bike for this year. [sniff].

Good luck with the 'een 'Loon at the lovely old Infirmary. Good canteen there (if it's open; at the back of the hospital)
Are you going to ask Dr B on a date?
If you have to wait for the bus back, go kill some time in the Crichton campus gardens. Find A&E and head down a little and left.

Don't worry TLW, i'm sure things will get cheaper when we become a 3rd world country.

Was misty here as well this mornin' but its nice n sunny now. A slightly quieter day in the cave. Got a call with one of the interns this afternoon - he's interested in a career in tax and his surname is Pina. Should I be suspicious?

Hey, what happens in consultation stays in consultation 😉
Actually drove it, bus times meant v early start and arrive hour plus early; only bad eye getting treated so unless they dilate both (they didn't) driving vision unaffected.
Back stop had both eyes been dilated would have been wander around Crichton grounds, down by the Nith, around town until recovered. Or could have left car and collected it later, free parking as it's not ripoff Ingerlaand.
Full sets of tests, scans, consultant review and chat, all very prompt and efficient, before a well conducted and painfree jab, 0/10 on the discomfort scale. All good. 😊

I'd watch out there Pinno, there's some shadowy short-armed manifestation about to nick your bike.

Bloody working for at least half the day today. I swear my boss saves up his non-comprehension until I go away, then unleashes it all at once.

It was clear skies and scorchio-ish with afternoon monsoons back home on sat, sun, mon and tues.
Majorca was cheaper than Snowdonia or Brecon beacons though 🙄

That's a bit like when pubs charge more for soft drinks than booze. No brainer

It's often cheaper to go abroad. Bonkers.
Have a look at self catering prices mid summer in the Highlands. Farq me.

Been that way since the early 80s.
Was cheaper to fly to Mallorca 1/2 board in a hotel than train & tent in Newquay.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.
