    Morning

5.5mm ball bearings for the new old Porker seats that I acquired turned up yesterday and that means, another 4 hours of seat fettling. This time, the drivers seat.

This is more or less the guts of the electric seat:

But before that, some chores, dad's taxi and a pedal.

Good lie in had as is the tradition on a Saturday. Dog walk, bike ride, get supplies, retrieve Ukrainian from her mates house. In no particular order.

Another day of untrustworthy weather. Sudden downpours, sunshine... repeat randomly all day.

Fairly sore after an attack on the out of control agapanthus yesterday. Still loads to dig out, and it's a messy thing to get rid of, roots like Medusa's snake hair. Battle may resume tomorrow.

Trying to sell a load of bike parts, and having limited success which surprises me.

    Oh yeah, you did say.

I have a congregation in Montpelier to thank.
    I am not religious but...

When I was at the Hammersmith being treated, my friend (now IBM consultant on silly silly salary) who is a bit pious, was on placement in Montpelier.
He and his fellow church goers prayed for me.

    "Here comes the rain again

...though hardly a new emotion round these parts. Inside / garage tasks tbd, got a delivery of lots 'n' lots of parts making up the new greenhouse on Monday, get the inside space cleared up so can keep it all clean 'n' dry.

May venture to the micro taproom later on in t'afternoon, enjoy a beer, ask around, show some weirdo ciggie pics, spread the word, ken.

Flounge at Gatwick. Way more hassle than T5. Settled in with bubbly, with a pie on the way.

Johnnie Walker blue label available. Never had it. Feels a bit decadent having a whisky at lunchtime. Lovely drop though.

Burger, pie, curry. Finger sandwiches. Salads. The others had burger, which they loved. The boy had curry as well, inhaled it. The pie was pretty good, as were the sandwiches.

Not been to lgw in a while. Makes you appreciate T5, though at least the flounge is quiet.

Managed to get quite a nice little test ride in as the forecast for this afternoon changed from showery to dry. The back is fine, but one leg is moaning a bit. I'll take that as a win.

Def autumnal in the Homeland, fired up the CH for a brief interlude, first time, take off the chill. Mr Woodburner now in full bloom. There was a mini-storm mid pm, really strong squall winds, were lifting the spare steel roof sheets off the ground.

About to concoct a chicken, pesto, ham 'n' cheese parcel wrap, avec pommes de terre rรดties. Def autumnal.

    Add: jings, now there's thunder...

Arrived into volcano land. All bags present and correct. Picked up car, it's a renault megane estate, so at least it has room for the bags. Checked in, eaten a late dinner, unpacked. Now knackered. Roll on tomorrow and lazing.
