Cycling UK Rebellion Way

It's been released today. I have looked in to all the details but I am a bit disappointed it's over 75% road. What are others thoughts?

When I saw it on the local news last night I'd assumed it was all road TBH. I think 25% off road will keep it interesting. Gives me an excuse to acquire or build a fatter tyred gravelly type bike...
  • When I plotted the route on Ridewithgps recently it came up as 10% unpaved (although I did 'cut a few corners' - I'm not going to cycle three miles across a muddy field to avoid 2.5 miles of country lane). So 25% sounds about right. Almost all of the road section is on minor roads so still reasonably traffic free. Thinking about doing ti with a group in the spring.

Thanks for the link, he basically confirmed what I thought; it's a road ride with just enough offroad to make a road bike impractical.

It's a good looking channel though and some of his other videos have pointed me in the direction of some other good looking mixed routes.
