Shimano br-rs505 calliper replacement options?
Hello good folk in the Workshop!
I'm fed up of replacing my BR-RS505 callipers (paired with the ugly 105 RS505 shifters) only for the new ones to leak after a while too. I've read a few places that imply that any shimano hydraulic callipers are interchangeable (even MTB) but I don't think their compatibility charts agree with this.
Anyway, what would you replace the callipers with? Ideally cheap, but reliability is probably more important.

For flat mount that are compatible with your shifters/mineral oil, I can only think of an 'upgrade' Shimano flat mount ones like the next-generation 105 caliper, or Hope do one I believe. There may well be others
I must admit I never liked those 505 shifters either.

Following as I have the same issue. Not bothered by the shifters TBH, but the sticking caliper pistons annoy they hell out of me!
