First road bike purchase - Scott Speedster 20 VS Canyon Endurace 6. Which one should I get?

Hello everyone,

I will buy my first road bike soon and I'd be grateful if some of you experienced cyclists would help me decide between these two entry level bikes ( please, comment only about these two models ):

- Scott Speedster 20: https://www.scott-sports.com/us/en/product/scott-speedster-20-bike
- Canyon Endurace 6: https://www.canyon.com/en-gb/road-bikes/endurance-bikes/endurace/al/endurace-6/2732.html

Thanks in advance to everyone who will take the time to post their opinion. Let me know what you think!

    Two major questions:

    Which one fits you best?
    2. Which one, in your eyes, is prettiest so you will enjoy using it more?

Everything else we can work around.

  • The other major question - are either of them actually available in your size?

Still a lot of bikes unavailable at present or with long waiting times due to the production backlog caused by Covid.

Scott bikes in particular are in very short supply in the UK at the moment.
  • Canyon appears to have hydraulic brakes vs cables on the Scott. All other things being equal I'd go for the Canyon.

You’ll be happy with either bike, availability and which one appeals to you visually and will want you to ride more are the main considerations.

Winter is coming in the northern hemisphere so if availability is an issue you may want to re visit your choice as shops are starting to discount end of season bikes again. Not many but at least it’s happening.
