Merida Big Trail Accessories

Has anyone fitted a kickstand and/or rear mudguard to this bike? Any recommendations?
Kickstand will be for more leisurely rides with groups (removed for trail centres).
Mudguard that stands up to bumpy terrain would be good if possible otherwise needs to be easily removable between different types of rides. I've read the Topeak ones are not robust and don't think I've got room on dropper post collar anyway.
Thanks

A kickstand would be a totally unnecessary accessory for any scenario in my opinion. Leaning up against a wall or tree etc. is easy and always doeable.
Most mountain bikes don't have a fitting plate (i.e. between the chainstays behind the bottom bracket) to accommodate certain types of kickstand these days.
I'm sure there would be something 'universal' available that can be mounted differently if you really want one. Constantly fitting and removing would be a hassle either way.
With regards mudguards, suppose it depends what you want. If you want to keep your clothes and bike mostly clean and dry then full coverage front and rear mudguards would be the only way to go.
Some mountain bikes have tabs/eyelets to allow fitting of racks, accessories and full coverage mudguards but don't think your Merida has these from looking at a few images online.
Again I'm sure there would be some 'universal mounting' types that would fit but still a hassle to constantly fit and remove. In the U.K. and unpredictable weather conditions I imagine it would be difficult to decide/be sure of a time to remove them.
Generally there should be some smaller blade type rear mudguard that can be fitted on your seat tube, under the saddle, etc. but these would only keep most of the mud and water off your mid to lower back area and not really effective for anything else. 🪙🪙0 -
Mucky Nutz on the front and a blade on the rear. It seems that the Btwin 700 rear mudguard that I Iike is no longer made.
But you should fins something you like for both ends from here:
