Not sure why you nexpect to see me early on either, I don't really do mornings.

Another day caving but just had a couple of meetings cancelled so shouldn't be too busy as long as people don't realise...bit damp out there as it was tipping it down with a decent lightning show late evening.

Yeah I'm busy training at that time of day. Still humid AF here despite the thunderstorms and downpours last night.

    Now trying to WFW.
Undecided later, depends on the weather.

If you call Weetabix and coffee training, that's me as well.

Another leisurely start, or call that slow as, despite having an early night. Is all this physical stuff getting too much? Or was it due to alco abstinence?

More site clearing to do. Can't work out what weather will do re timing of the tip run bookings. Got a load ready to take, it's dry now but forecast says heavy rain showers due imminently. Ach, spin that bottle.

  • What's so special about the cheesemakers?

Wfw - no ridey ridey as I have picked up a dodgy old stomach while in Spain, and not confident that I wouldn't shyte down my leg on the way in. New minion starts today, so spending the week bringing her up to speed.

Tell her that she needs to cycle over to your house in the morning as part of her induction and then you can draft her all the way in.

Morning all. Busy Morning and definitely not dry. Rain on and off all morning so. Last night's storm woke the dead and the mutt. 😖
Too many bikes according to Mrs O.

    Afternoon folks,
Made it back to the orifice, feeling rather better than yesterday. But then I felt alright at lunchtime yesterday. Had a chat with the quack, told me to take it steady for a few days and if it comes back he'll fit me in on Friday.
Pinno got it right, very unlikely to see me on here in the mornings.

You've gone down in my estimation. Cheese is a thing of joy, without cheesemakers we'd have no cheese. Although i fancy a pasty now for some reason.

Burn him! Standard version is the only acceptable pasty...

The other day the lad had put a pie in the oven and had eaten something else whilst it was warming, then decided he wasn't that hungry so didn't really want the pie. Being a selfless sort of chap I thought I'd help out and have the pie. It's not often I say something is completely inedible, but this was. A vegan cheese and leek Pukka Pie, absolutely rank.

Well, obviously, this is not meant to be taken literally. It refers to any manufacturers of dairy products.

Reminds me of the time we got invited to Xmas Dinner by some veggie friends of Mrs. 666. They served up a nut roast - how bad was it? Well halfway through dinner I was on the internet checking if there was a Maccy D's open on Christmas day.

Nut roasts can be OK if they're done well and not too dry, and with some meat.

Only time I've been subjected to full vegan was nettle soup and roasted nasturtium seeds / fresh flowers in a salad and yep it was rank. Had to drink etc alcohol to hide the taste. As to cheese you cant beat a nice bit of wensleydale ay grommit.

The only vegan dish I've ever had that was OK was a Thai curry as there's enough spices etc to make it taste alright and the rice fills you up. Apart from that, it's probably like being teetotal - doesn't make you live any longer but it bloody well feels like it.
