Rigid fork

My hybrid came with Suntour Nex 700cc forks the ones with no lockout,as I just use it for roads and tow paths I thought of installing a rigid fork.
I found an air bike fork and it measures 440mm from crown to dropout but my nex forks measures 449mm.
Will this be a problem and my front end dropping?
Thanks

Suspension forks will have some sag while you are riding, so a rigid replacement should be shorter. Normal recommendation would be about 20% of the suspension drop I think, so you are probably going to end up higher, not lower.1

Cheers for that, I can just take a spacer off my stem if so.0
