I'd like to have zzzz'd better.

But it's good day and worthy of a pedal after some shenanigans and the run around.

Cave day here, will head into the office tomorrow as it's a decent excuse to ride. Also will use that a an excuse to drop off at a mates house to try his Planet X for size as I seem to be bang in the middle of medium and large sizes.

A road Planet flex? There's no way you are a Large.

Do a bike fit - you can do a calculation online.

    Ta for the linky.

Looking at the Hurricane or the Pro Carbon.

I'm 177cm which is a fraction under 5'10: the PX size guide says Medium is for 5'7" to 5'10" and Large is for 5'9" to 6'0". My mate is pretty much exactly the same height as me (maybe half an inch taller) and went for a Large, which he says is fine for him, but had the same conundrum.

Makes sense to go have a sit on his.

Height is not the only parameter:

    Reach
    Flexibility
    Leg length
    Torso length
    Flexibility
    Use

D'ye need some heavies tae gie ye a haun?

It's sad but better when those on the way out let go at last, per TLW's gran; been through that.

Should get off in a bit for a sunny pedal, outdoors action been delayed by another stropette messaging sesh with energy provider, 4 months after taking ownership they've still not activated my account properly, sent out one wildly over estimated bill for an empty property at end of May, since then zip, multiple meter readings submitted, nothing... now get an auto email saying I'm not paying enough. GTF, I've been paying directly every few weeks based on actual consumption and their tariff rates. Maybe employ some admin staff rather than rely on bots.

So trying out his bike is not a bad idea then?

Thanks for the PX feedback both. I've never had anything other than a Medium on any bike, but will go have a sit on it anyway. I can always whack a longer stem on a medium if needed.

What!? Pinno didn’t send you a “hello mate, how are you?” PM, followed by “Do you want to buy a C40?”

Proper bloody Del Boy that one.

Just had a charity rep at the front door.

Rep “Hello sir, I’m from the R.N.I.B, have you heard of us?”

Me “Yes of course, the Royal National, Lifeboat Inside.”

    Rep “Err, no.”

I’m not good under pressure, think I panicked.

Chillin' with a coldie, big cloudless blue sky. Might be good for dark night sky spotting later.

Good ride rided earlier; keep those legs turning. Couple nice sightings: coming down a narrow valley road, a young roe deer came out from the side, I slowed, it trotted along for a bit before jumping away.

Then later passing some fields where farmers were silage cropping, they'd machined the cut grass into rows / furrows(?) for the big grabbing thing to jet the grass into the mega trailers. There were 4 red kites circling low, on the scavenge, plus 1 buzzard looking for whatevs. One kite swooped right in front of me and grabbed something. Hereabouts people still post red kite pics on soshul meejah whereas back in The Valley red kites are everywhere. Looks like they're expanding here as well, good to see.
