Nice term. I like, I will be doing*, and I may well use in the future. 😉

*Been given a boring job which is just to keep me occupied during a slow period.

Sitting at the dentist ready for my next round of wallet pain. Then into town for a fair few meetings followed by beers and pub grub with a mate. So not all bad.

Woke up early so did what any sensible person would do and went for a run. Then went to work.
Could do with a nap now.

Morning, probably my last 2 dayer in Edinburgh for a while (going out drinking later) as the OH is starting to struggle at home on her own with the dogs etc. Better make the most of it!

@pinno suggested yesterday I should get a pickup truck so I thought I'd reply here rather than keeping the old thread going. I've had 3 pickup trucks as company cars and I'd rather not have another. Also, I looked at another Amarok when I bought the XC60 and they are cripplingly expensive and a lot less nice if you're buying privately. I'd be tempted for a broken old L200 but I don't really have any need for it. Having discussed with the OH the plan is currently to sell the Defender, keep the Golf for a few months and possibly sell if she doesn't drive for a long while. She is quitting her job so she might like to walk for a bit. We can always get a cheap run around to take the babies when I'm away if needed.

Indeed blue and calm. Will try a gentle pootle this morning, managed to tweak that bleepin' calf muscle again yesterday while loading more tip bound bulk bags onto the rumblewagon, will see how it goes. Can't get a tip slot until afternoon so a bike ride would be nice. That calf tweak is getting v annoying.

@haydenm I'm on my 4th pick up and am quite happy with them as they suit me down to the ground.
Huge boot, plastic lines so easy to wash out. Room for rubbish and fairly nice on the inside.
It's no executive saloon, granted but it does its job nicely.

On to important things, 2000m in the pool before work, type stuff, draw stuff, eat stuff and run later.
In the mean time attempt to purchase a new graphics card so that my PC can remain under 85DB.

8.2% ABV - pretty sure all the sugar's turned to alcohol :)

Not against them particularly, I'd buy another Amarok if it wasn't the same price as the XC60. All I need for work is comfort and a high-ish ride height most of the time so I always had pickups as a tax dodge for my old company. Great for the dog and firewood. If I could get a reliable old pickup for the OH and the twins it would be great but it will likely be an unnecessarily expensive option as a run-around for her. Would keep the deceased deer out of the boot of my nice clean car for clients though...

Did get an ok ride rided, legs inc the barsteward left calf muscles felt much better than last time.

Got hero status at the green / garden waste tip bin; site worker woman commented about this old couple who keep turning up with bulk aka tote bags which site staff not allowed to help with, old couple spend ages emptying them by hand! I'll see what I can do... can I help?... straight lift and dump... ooh you're a strong man 😍 😊

Evening folks, another day done. Pleasant wobble there and back, although legs felt like lead all day.
Both Oliver Reed and Keef Richards have been in the pub I used to work in. I wonder if Shane McGowan ever drank in there.

Ozzy Ozborne is still alive. How tf is he still alive? Did he pickle his brain to the point of a preserve?
