Back to WFW today.
Thinking about riding in, forecast currently says it's going to stay dry all day.0 -
The forecast doesn’t look better than erm forecasted
WFH which maybe a challenge as the MIL is staying for a few days.
Managed to drink water in a bar again last night - it’s very boring though0 -
Man Caving today. Hoping we get a bit of the rain that looks on the forecast maps like it's not far away, will save using the bloody watering can later on."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Dull, dreary meh.
Didn't seem that inviting for a pedal.
I'll see if there's any enthusiasm and energy derived from eating lots.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
Was watching a gang of swallows doing their thing along the side of the house over the hedge, swooping, flying fast and close, me thinking they're good. Then one banged into the window - doh. Flew off again, probably to receive a severe parental talking to. But they are fast.
The murk seems to be closing in, temps down, got a heavy hosing last night sans lights 'n' bangs, so back to sorting out the mess left behind by Despicable Him. And repeat, and...0 -
Sort of. Quite good for sheltering from the rain which is coming down quite heavily now - yay.pinno said:
Is that like pot-holing except much safer and a helmet and torch is optional rather than mandatory?Stevo_666 said:Man Caving today.

It's p1$$ing here down now - hallelujah. I'm a bit of a sun dodger but not sure I've ever been so glad to see rain..."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

I took my folding bike in for a laugh. In top gear you need to pedal at 90 rpm to do 15 mph, I'm not going anywhere quick.oxoman said:

90 rpm will give me 30 mph+ on the road bikepinno said:
I usually hover between 75-80 rpm (slow).0 -

I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

Afternoon folks,
Another busy day of shovelling manure in the orifice. Quite a comfortable temperature to wobble in this morning, a few puddles in the park showed that some bits had been rained on. Rained a few more times here, it might help keep me cooler if it rains when I go home.
Had a guy on a Brompton try to race me off the light last night. He was stood on the pedals and giving it his all, I passed him once I'd got up to speed and looked down at the next set of lights to see a battery pack on the front and a motor in the front wheel. No wonder I couldn't out-accelerate him Doubt Thistle has one of them. The weight of the motor and battery don't seem like a good idea on a folder to me.0 -
There's a guy James Houston (still) riding the Transcontinental TCR on a Brompton. Way outside the checkpoint cutoff times for GC but now on the last section across Romania to finish on Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. And he's not lanterne rouge. 4,000+ km completed.
Doubt a battery and motor are permitted.0 -
Last day basking for now. Off to a big city for a couple nights of hotels, swimming, family visits. (Pair of childless aunts we need to turn the charm on for) and some interesting food no doubt supplemented with visits to McDonald’s.Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

Don't need the extra weight and faff of electric drive, not yet anyway.

Knocked off early and put my new desk together. The Execucave is coming along quite nicely

As one tw@ to another, I'd just like to say that twatcave is still the best name for it.0

75-80rpm is pleasant and looks like you're not putting in any effort.pinno said:
