    Yep, seat did look too high but bike size looks fine.

    Wouldn’t buy a bike a size up. A few mm here and there different on a bigger frame might not sound a lot but does make quite a difference. By all means take a friends larger size for a spin and see. I wouldn’t worry to much about how the bike feels in the drops as you’ll be doing 90+ of your riding on the hoods. You will find as you ride more and possibly lose a few KG that your position on the bike feels less cramped. 👍
