Off to Girona in November, flying into Barecelona, wondered if anyone had car hire company recommendations close to the airport? thanks in advance

    Noting specific, but I've just used one of the online travel agencies / comparison sites such as: https://carhire.opodo.co.uk/en/

    Be ready for it to cost about twice as much as you expect. Prices have gone through the roof this year.

    And watch put for the insurance excess large amounts. Borders on scamming from some of these hire cos. There's your price but.... there's a 1500 excess, which you can reduce by paying us loads more.

    Check out separate excess cover options; in past I've used direct-carexcess, part of AIG.

    I used Rentalcars.com when I went to Annecy. Got a great deal with full cover insurance too. Was 3 years ago though.

    Cicar are excellent

    Mainly Canary Islands based but the have an office at Barcelona
