Up a bit too early for a weekend but my bowels had other ideas, same for the hounds who've now gone back to sleep. Later will be the obligatory dog walk, a weights session and helping junior get ready to head up to Liverpool for another vet related placement (read unpaid work experience).

We went to Protaras a few years ago. Great atmosphere at the time as the World Cup was on so some good afternoons and evenings in the bars were had And footy on the box in nearly all the restaurants.

Done my 45 mins of interval penance on the peloton with Emma Lovewell. It says 45 mins at average 235w, but I dont really believe that, there's no power meter. However, fitness is coming back, and my clothes are starting to fit again.

Dog walk, butcher's shop, then loafing, maybe a crossword. Fettle bike later this afternoon.

Traditional slow start was enjoyed. About to take the EPO to an opticians appointment then picking up my new cycling shoes, strap broke the other day which is dull. Going to Sigma Sports is always dangerous as I might get tempted. Problem is the credit card bill from our holiday was delivered in a lorry this morning 😳

A lazy Saturday, triggered by it pishing it down this afternoon but the TT was a good watch, partic the top 3 vs WvA. And did have sore muscles after a heavy gym sesh yesterday so quiet day could be best option.

A positive thing that cheers me up: having escaped Ingerlaand to the Homeland, I'd lost access via NHS app as deregistered from previous GP to Covid proof of vaccinations. Can foresee another winter of discontent coming, thought had better get organised to get those showing on NHS Scotland app, got travel booked for autumn, might take some time wot wiv bureaucracy and that.

Found a pdf from last November with those limited validity QR codes. Ok, upload pics of those, prob get rejected as old but a start and can argue my case. And this is Saturday. Within 2 hours got an email back saying approved, and just checked the app and proofs now there. Pretty blxxdy good service levels there.

So I can enter Trumpland now, unlike Novax the Goat.
