Sorry this is probably a stupid question but if the pad in a pair of padded cycling shorts has gone flat with minimal padding does this mean the chamois has worn out and the shorts need to be replaced?

I have Santini bibs with the thinnest pad yet they are 1 of the mire comfortable for longer rides.
if they are still comfortable carry on wearing. if they are uncomfortable and cause irritation to your Farage then consider changing.
