    Pidcock seemed to be following the right wheels. Mathews then WvA. But when WvA accelerated, he could not follow.

    Pidcock was right on Matthews's wheel but was dropped by a bike length or two as soon as he opened up.

    Pidcock was way back in the bunch with 10km to go, while the rest of Ineos were lined out at the front. I think he still has a fair amount to learn about positioning.
