Where's this bloody 'getting warmer' ?
2 more days until Beans collection day. Called the cattery and asked what payment method they accepted as they're a bit old/old fashioned. I was right to as they didn't accept cards . She said [adopt accent of a slightly frail, diminutive well heeled 70 yr old Scottish woman] 'He's a lovely chap'. I thought, 'no he is not, he's a bloody sook'.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
Maybe 'Larry' is the cat observing Thistle.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

Larry the cat has resigned.
The wind has dropped! At last. Things to do, gym sesh to endure, deliveries to get, bits to size up and buy, chat by phone with new GP, TdF to watch but that had better be catch up rather than my lazy afternoon yesterday.0 -
Well it's not here that's for surepinno said:Where's this bloody 'getting warmer' ?
Cool/cold mornings and reasonable afternoons
Moaning all,
Nice lie-in today, WFH soon before WFW later on, though I don't feel like it as they seem to have forgotten to pay me Grrrrrr (if only I worked with the payroll folk HaHa)
Could easily sink a few beers tonight

murky start with a smidge of drizzle
unconfirmed reports say that larry has made the hit, waiting for confirmed kill before opening the bubblymy bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny0 -
Quite a clever ruse by calling yourself Larry when you are a deadly assassin.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0

On a cat related note, we had a gathering on Saturday and the girls were in the hot tub/sex bath, neighbors dog got a bit excited and chased the cat who retreated to higher ground.
Higher ground being the hot tub lid, which wasn't there...
Anyway, been to the gym before work and home later to sort out for a fishing trip tomorrow.

Gloomy gloomy grey this morning. Enjoy it while you can. Scorchio for the next week or so, 28-32 degrees every day! ๐ฅPinno, ืืื ืืืืืื ืืืจื ืืืื ืื0

Wfh today, idly watching the politics for the past couple of days.0 -
WFH today, getting the grill on in the minute for pulled pork in preparation for the weekend. Doing one today, tomorrow and Saturday to make sure there is enough to go round at a party at a friend's house0

It's warm enough here, just not sunny. Just as well it was warm as this was the first day since mid October that I've pedalled into work. I was very slow due to terminal unfitness and some bad luck with traffic lights, but feeling pretty good. (Also late as junior hound escaped via the latest fox made breach in the defences and was rounded up after being spotted on the front garden following a scent). I might have to start quoting Jens Voight at my iffy leg later on
But for now, but day on the corporate hamster wheel as we have to torture some numbers till they tell what we want to hear."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Well done Stevo. Hopefully no ill effects after ๐ How many miles?Stevo_666 said:It's warm enough here, just not sunny. Cheers Seano, leg OK so far: I'm a bit tired but that was more to do with getting up at 6am.seanoconn said:

Er, 12 miles? Although I am riding back the same distance tonight as I ditched The Panzer somewhere around the half way point. Made me realise just how unfit I am, although according to the scales I only need to shift about 3kg of lard to get back to my fighting weight."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." Longer than my commute. 20+ isnโt easy after a long break.Pinno, ืืื ืืืืืื ืืืจื ืืืื ืื0

I've been doing 1hr+ round the lanes near me at least once a week so figured I should bite the bullet with the commute and if it hurts, stop. I'll tell you if I need any tramp fuel flavoured pain relief tonightseanoconn said:Longer than my commute. 20+ isnโt easy after a long break.

Nice one Mr. P. The glorious North East....
Made it home and no need for alcoholic pain relief but I've earned one anyway. Knackered but feel good after a couple of hours of pedalling: rinse and repeat soon."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0
