I joined the forum in 2008 and started road cycling regularly in 2009. At one time I was a very regular visitor, and have posted over 4000 times. However, for various reasons I think my last post was sometime in 2015. What's been the biggest change in cycling in the last 7 years?

Have I missed anything since then? :)

loads of people think they HAVE to have discs and electric assisted shifting to ride exactly the same tides As people hsve done for decades or they WILL DIE. for some bizarre reason.

Where I live (hilly) lots of people use electric bikes now. They seem very popular, good to see really if it gets people out the house.

Oh, I forgot - there have been a few things that were briefly discussed on here in passing. Something called Covid, a minor political policy known as Brexit and the new PM who I think it is fair to say generally gets good approval ratings from the Cake Stop community who also love that Brexit thing he helped introduce.

Some tips to fit back in - make sure you say how good you think Boris is, extol the virtues of Brexit and tell people how vaccines for Covid are just a form of Government control. Complaints about wokeness and political correctness gone mad will also go down well.

Yes, I saw that. But I understand that Cav is the new Cav. Or is he still past it?

People don't go to ride real places any more, far easier just to get changed and jump on the turbo, which these days can easily emulate ~20% gradients. Just waiting for headwind emulation and frame melting fake rain.

    No, Froome is "past it",

    Cav is, in fact, "finished"

Strangely I only ever see e-bikes on the flat, never the hills. Dunno why.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

You might be right! That was just after I received a heavy blow to the head.

    Was it just one post?
