Morning all. Bimbled in on the treader past the wkends carnage. 2 moving cars 1 house front doesn't work. All boarded up. Both German cars. Then another prat somewhere else in a BMW tried overtaking someone uphill in a 30mph residential area, πŸ€”πŸ˜– result 1 air ambulance and a pile of shitty German plastic and glass to ride around. The πŸ€” theme being shitty German car drivers maybe. On other news, nice Sunday and WFW. Enjoy Monday folks.

Up too early to catch a train - tired. First job on arrival at the office = coffee.

    Moaning,

Looks really nice out there right now, finished my watering and enjoying a cuppa.
Just had a peek at the weather forecast, oops! :/ looks like wet stuff on the way, shame.
    Hopefully it’ll be short lived

Back in The Valley. But not in the now empty rental hotel. Which should have been deep cleaned on Friday; I've had the invoice emailed through. TBD. Got the end of tenancy inventory check argument sesh this morning, should be ok, the owners have been friendly.... perhaps until they need to cough back the deposit. πŸ€”

A bit of follow up admin, then meet up with some old friends for a 'farewell' drink or 2. How does it go? Oh yeah, "I'll be back."

We were supposed to be in between weather fronts but perhaps they meant between 2 good patches of dry stuff.

@oxoman I have a friend in Sussex who ran an executive travel company - mainly ferrying people who cba to take public transport from/to Gatwick/Heathrow/Stanstead/Luton. They restored a 1950's Foden bus for tours.
The driver took a bus load of wrinklies on tour and parked up at a cider pub near Alfriston to let them off. He went for a piddle and when he came back, the bus had gone.
He phoned the owner (my friend sadly departed) in a panic saying that the bus was stolen.
Except it wasn't, the handbrake (pre hydraulic) had failed and the bus was parked in a 14th house. Oops.

    Maybe some yoga
    More WFH

Undecided later, forecast says the sun's going to make an appearance.

We may hear the sun, but we can't see it.

Was at the gym by 6 and unloading an artic by 8.
Now sat back inside warming up again with tea.
Got a toilet to repair at PP#3 later today then might sort some fishing gear out to take one of the kids on Tuesday evening.

I've just printed off a sample H&S booklet at 166 pages...
Next item to get over is our environmental policy... Which is kind of ironic given the above.

Comedy moment from the wedding I went to on Friday. Bride had one of those long 'train' things that drags on the floor. Chief bridesmaid (her younger sister) managed to stand on the back of it as they were walking down the aisle and nearly gave her whiplash. At the reception we told little Sis - 'You had one bloody job...'. We're trying to locate who has the video footage for a bit of a giggle :)

Only in oxo land, it's glorious here.
Just been in the garden for 45 minutes doing online yoga, laptop overheated and ground to a halt and I've got it sat on ice packs now cooling it down.

On the 5th downward dog I looked between my legs and found a cat sitting sitting at the end of the garden path looking at me, confused. Nearly fell over laughing.

Well done for keeping the cat entertained.

Wondering how bloody fast he was going to clean that lot up. Rain eventually cleared after lunch so just a few puddles to dodge.

I only win if I count Strifey's and Stroptwentysomething's cars (in which case, 3).
