Changing Tourney on Peugeot Road Bike 1983

Hi,
my rear tourney broke a few days ago on my 80ies roadbike. Does anyone know if just buying a new 6-7 speed shimano one would fit, or if I need something different.

    If you have friction shifters you should be fine with any 6/7 speed RD. If your shifters are indexed, ie a click for each gear change, you'll need to match shifters and RD
