Carbon rim brake pads
Just bought a set of carbon wheels that have come with the same manufacturers carbon pads. Is there any reason to use these carbon pads with the rim - or can I use the carbon specific pads already in the shoes that I have. Seems a bit daft swapping carbon pads, with loads of life left in them, just to use the pads that come with these carbon wheels.
Any thoughts please??

Any carbon pads with any carbon wheels to the very, very best of all the MF hive mind.
.The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

I would try the bike with the new wheels and existing pads. If i did not like that set up i would change the pads. Am i overlooking some thing here or is it really that simple?skinnydog said:Just bought a set of carbon wheels that have come with the same manufacturers carbon pads. Thanks for the replies. I Didn’t know if the carbon lay-up of different wheels meant that a different carbon compound was more effective and less abrasive for that carbon breaking surface than another.0

Nah fam - massively over thinking it.
Its a carbon bicycle wheel rim and two rubber blocks being pressed against it..The camera down the willy isn't anything like as bad as it sounds.

An expensive one at that - and as I don’t live in the flatlands, I don’t wanna use a compound on a carbon brake block not designed for that carbon rim. 😁0

I honestly, seriously wouldn't worry about it. You're massively overthing it.
They don't design specific pads for specific wheels otherwise each manufacturer would have to make about 200 different sets.
Its just a carbon bicycle rim.
What wheels are they out of interest? Where are you riding?
