    Yates's skinsuit cost a mere £2,750 apparently!

Rik Zabel repeated his KOM trick by taking it easy to the climb then being fastest up it. Same points as vdp so he'll have the jersey today.

Great to see Yates so happy. Let's hope it continues.

Kelly sends me to sleep. Someone needs to slip him some coke or adrenaline.
Are him and CK supposed to balance out? Doesn't work. CK needs some downers. 😉

I was thinking Sean Kelly is coming over better in company of Lloyd, Hatch, McEwen et al compared to the Wittermouth combo. I reckoned I could detect the 'wtaf' element in his voice when having to respond to Kirby's babbling.

    Indeed.
Here's an interesting comparison (the middle column) to see how the GC men fared on yesterday's climb.
Only a 2 and a half minute effort, but still. For instance, Carapaz didn't make the top 25 on the climb.

as has been discussed before, yup, he knows his stuff and has been there done that but he's utterly totally boring.

give him a personality and he'd be a winner but he's just so dull.

Falling asleep and waking up when it kicks off is a big part of watching cycling - always has for me anyway. But then I always have dipped in the afternoon, since forever.

he's like the bloke next to you that goes on and on and on and on and its actually a relief to have to run out and have people try to do horrible things to you.

It wouldn't be so bad if he would say something new. A bot could do the job.
I know exactly what he is going to say before says it, cos it's always the same.
Then there is the tone of voice, Zzzzzzzzzzz....
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

He's said it a number of times over the past number of years.

Nah Kelly is great - he's been much missed this season. He's actually much more insightful than most he just doesn't treat the viewer like they've never watched a bike race before.
He's got a great dry sense of humour too .

I wonder what our erstwhile Bianchiphile would make if the fact that Green Edge are saying how much better their technology is this year...

Doesn't look as good though, does it? 😉

I reckon Bianchi have fallen behind as their models are a few years old now. And the colour scheme they had with greemedge was rubbish...

I saw / heard somewhere that Matt white said Bianchi did not want to put the money into TT bikes as they have so few sales
