Today I will mostly be prepping, cutting and stacking copious amounts of logs, volunteer workday at the Trust, first sesh for 3 weeks. At least a bit cooler today which will help.

It does-mean I will be jeffed by time get back, but cold beers await. (Need to finish off the Belgians to get cases of empties prepped for next weekend's expedition, tough times.)

Rest day after yesterdays horrible hill repeats followed by swimming then pub - can’t decide which one caused the lack of sleep 😂

Work snizzle with too many meetings followed by a swim and pub

New bike arrived Monday, yet to ride it properly due to necessary car use. Rear derailleur needs a tune and front disc brake (new to me) has a slight judder. The quick release or headset might need a tighten. I’m not riding it if there is a single squeak or creak and if all else fails I’ll be off to uncle V68’s with a crate of beer!

Pads may need bedding in. Find a big hill, go fast, brake hard a few times. Don't go OTB.

    Great advice there Thistle.
He can always walk up the hill and then hop on. Actually, that's probably the only thing he can do.

I didn't know Apollo did disc brakes. Do they fit round wheels?

    Morning Peeps,

Didn't drink when out in town last night as was driving, but still tired for some reason. That'll teach me. Powering through the day in the Twatcave with some assistance from coffee and scotch eggs.

    I said I'd be late.

Had some fizz this morning, felling quite OK and ready for some tree felling later.

I thought of a sit up and beg h'bar on one side and a drop handle on the other to accommodate your gammy arm.

    Ciao

Covid has been laughed fairly and squarely in the face. First neg test last night, will do second today. Tbh, feeling 99% of normal self, just a bit tired.

Been spraying bits black for the S3 - PRO stem that looks lovely, fits me perfect and the same as Froome's allegedly - as if that means anything - but, much like the 'bars that came with it, had horrible white graphics on it.

Paid nothing for both so quick bit of sanding, rattle can and 2 pak lacquer and off we go.

Noises emanating from work so may look at bag and see what it needs

Third day of determined laziness, other than a visit to chiropractor again. Did a little prep work for next job on the list late this afternoon, ready for tomorrow perhaps.

New handlebars arrived in post to retrofit to the trainer bike as the ones on that are way too narrow.

A heavy day of heavy lifting, splitting, stacking copious amounts of the logs used to fuel the heating system for the Earth Trust centre. Hard work. Usuals joined by a lad and lass from corporate-land, their company allows them to donate a day to volunteer work; for desk jockeys they coped really well and enjoyed it.

    Beers time.

And good news received from my solicitor just now that he's happy that all questions raised been ticked off his list so property purchase is 'go'. 👍😊

Day of wfw/wfh, big hq move for a fruit-based tentacle, which should keep me busy.

New conveyancer instructed, all the gubbins detailing my sordid finances sent to the lender, up to 90 days letting allowed with this one, which will hopefully defray the mortgage cost somewhat.

Heading down next week to see the place myself, staying at Mrs B³'s friend's place for 2 days, while mini is on a residential school trip.

    Otherwise, a quiet weekend.

I did something like that and then my (step) father opened the curtains in my bedroom and talked loudly at 6am (with a smile).
